Skywatch – July Reading 2025

By Published On: July 2nd, 2025Categories: Skywatch - Monthly Astrology

July is bursting with cosmic shifts — and we’re not just talking about Mercury retrograde or a cheeky Full Moon. This month brings in some major planetary movements that signal deep, long-term changes, both personally and globally.

If things feel intense, surprising, or like a big truth is starting to bubble to the surface, you’re not imagining it.

Let’s take a look at what’s happening up there.

✨ Two Big Players Take the Stage

July’s energy is shaped by two powerful events:

  1. Uranus enters Gemini (7 July) – bringing disruption and innovation in how we communicate, learn, and connect.

  2. Saturn and Neptune meet in Aries (closest around 17 July) – a rare combo that cracks open illusions, especially in systems and beliefs that no longer hold.

Together, these mark the beginning of a new collective cycle — one that asks us to see things clearly, let go of what’s no longer true, and take real action from a grounded place.

💬 Uranus in Gemini – Breaking the Mould

On 7 July, Uranus moves into Gemini for the first time in over 80 years. This electric planet shakes things up, and Gemini rules the mind, media, speech, transport, and technology.

Expect shifts in:

  • How we communicate (think: AI, social platforms, censorship, education)

  • The way information is shared (and who controls it)

  • Sudden changes in transport and travel

This influence lasts until 2033, though Uranus will dip briefly back into Taurus in November before re-entering Gemini for good in April 2026.

This is a preview of the future — and it’s moving fast.

🌕 10 July – Full Moon in Capricorn

The Full Moon in Capricorn is a grounding one. It’s a time to take stock of how far you’ve come this year and ask yourself:

  • What structures in my life are actually working?

  • Where have I outgrown old habits, roles, or goals?

It’s a great time to journal, have a real chat with someone you trust, or just pause and reflect.

🌀 Saturn Meets Neptune – Illusions Dissolve, Truth Emerges

From mid-July (and peaking on 17 July), Saturn and Neptune meet in Aries – a massive, slow-moving shift that hasn’t happened since 1989 (the year of the Berlin Wall falling and the Soviet Union collapsing).

This meeting cracks open the gap between what we want to believe and what’s actually real.

  • Ideals that are built on shaky ground? Expect them to fall.

  • Belief systems, governments, or public narratives that no longer hold truth? They may start to unravel.

  • Personal dreams that don’t align with your deeper truth? You’ll feel it.

This is uncomfortable… but it’s also necessary.

And because Saturn turns retrograde on 13 July, this isn’t a one-off. It continues into February 2026, when the new cycle fully begins. For now, we’re in the revealing phase — the part where truth breaks through the fog.

☀️ 22 July – Sun Enters Leo (11:29 PM Brisbane time)

As we shift into Leo season, the vibe gets warmer, bolder, and more self-assured.

Leo invites us to:

  • Celebrate who we are

  • Express ourselves through creativity or leadership

  • Take centre stage where it matters most — without needing validation from others

This season reminds us: you don’t need permission to shine.

🌑 24 July – New Moon in Leo (with a twist)

This New Moon is a big one.

It’s not just a reset — it’s connected to all the themes we’ve talked about. It makes powerful aspects to Pluto, Neptune, Saturn, and Uranus.

Expect:

  • A moment of clarity — what am I meant to be doing now?

  • A bold new beginning — especially if you’ve been feeling stuck

  • Some power struggles or truth bombs — particularly around leadership or control

You might be surprised by what comes to light — or what you’re finally ready to let go of.

Final Thoughts

We’re in a season of deep change, collectively and personally.

Yes, it might feel overwhelming at times — like the world is crumbling a bit. But in that space, there’s also room to rebuild something real. Aries (where Saturn and Neptune meet) teaches us that courage doesn’t always roar — sometimes it’s just one small, honest step forward.

Trust your instincts. Let go of the dream that isn’t working. And keep your heart open to something better that’s waiting to emerge.
